Main Responsibilities of Cockatiel Foundation State Coordinators:
(Materials to help with the following will be supplied):                                     


                             
1. Obtain new members and promote renewals of current members.

2. Seek out new potential Affiliates (e.g., clubs, fairs, shows, youth groups, etc.) when known and
encourage their affiliation with the Foundation.

2.  Attend some local fairs, shows, and other avian events while representing the Foundation in a
professional manner and contributing to the positive image and growth of the Foundation.

3.  Help pass the word to members in your state when there is legislation adversely affecting the
ownership of cockatiels.  ( Instructions and specific information will be provided).

4. State Coordinators will act as an on-site representative for their Regional Coordinator.                   
  

5. If needed, State Coordinators will present or provide organizations with youth programs, health
education, adoption service information, and show information. This will be done under the
supervision and help of the Regional Coordinator, and Youth Education & Adoption Coordinator,
who will present guidelines to assist State Coordinators. All Coordinators are expected to
promote CF in a positive and professional manner at all times.  
                                
State Coordinators will keep their Regional Coordinator informed of any activities of the current
quarter including potential future affiliates, show clubs, number of new members and any other
information on activities performed to promote the Cockatiel Foundation, Inc.

Welcome!  As a Foundation State Coordinator, you will be a main contact for the Cockatiel
Foundation, Inc.! In this important position you will represent the Foundation to the members
and other entities in your state. Your name, email and phone, will be listed under the State
Coordinator page listings on the website, and in our journal publication, the
Cockatiel
Chronicle
. You will be the first contact for many of our potential new members!
