Dr. Thomas Tully, DVM, MS, Diplomate ABVP(Avian), ECAMS, is Professor of Zoological
Medicine, School of Veterinary Medicine, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA,
USA. Dr. Tully is the lead co-author of the book, Handbook of Avian Medicine, a
contributor to the double volume Clinical Avian Medicine and co-author of the upcoming
book, Manual of Exotic Pet Practice, to be released in the spring of 2008.
Dr. Tully is a prominent member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians serving many
terms on the Board of Directors in various capacities, including conference chair, and
continues to pursue ground-breaking research in avian disease, which includes
benefiting the cockatiel. Dr. Tully is a supporter of many avicultural organizations and a
well-known friend to aviculturists.
