Sassy Pickard is the Youth Program Editor for the American Federation of
Aviculture, Inc., and the Youth Education & Adoption/Placement Coordinator for the
Cockatiel Foundation, Inc. Her certifications include: Pet Industry Joint Advisory
Council (PIJAC) Certified Avian Specialist & Companion Animal Care Specialist,
Veterinary Assistant Certification, 4-H Master Pet PALS Advisor, Cleveland Animal
Protection League Volunteer and Red Cross Pet First Aid Instructor. Sassy works
with placing birds and other animals and is an Evironmental and Animal Education
Speaker. She is the author behind the Cockatiel Chef for the Cockatiel Chronicle
and has written dozens of recipes for cockatiel journals over the years.
