Aviculture Microbiology Foundation, Inc. Our goal is: Develop an educational program in Microbiology for Aviculturist's, Bird Store Owners and Rescue Organizations. As aviculturist's, we are responsible for making decisions for our birds regarding their health. Members learn and share with each other clinical microbiology, bacteriology, mycology, sterilization to rule out bacteria, fungus and other diseases in their own aviaries. Requirement: The member must have a Sponsor Veterinarian to assist with the final diagnosis and treatment. This Foundation is to help our birds, not hurt our bird community. Exotic Bird Registration The AKC of exotic birds; EBR records pedigrees, tracks registrations, show points and band numbers, and in effect, acts the part of the American Kennel Club to the avian world. The purpose of EBR is to bridge the gap between pet owners, breeders, exibitors and avian organizations. EBR's goals also include helping to fight anti-avicultural legislation in order to retain our rights as breeders and pet owners, provide a database to track pedigrees, show points, and lost birds, and to support avian research and income opportunities to partners, breeders and affiliated organizations. | "Providing Resources to the Cockatiel Community" The Cockatiel Foundation, founded in June 2007, began out of a growing need in the avicultural community to address all areas of cockatiel culture. The Foundation offers its members programs for pet owners, breeders and exhibitors, in addition to services never before addressed in the cockatiel community. CF is establishing a Cockatiel Adoption & Placement Program necessary for the placement and rehoming of cockatiels to new, permanent "forever" homes. CF address the needs of our Youth Members in the CF Youth & Education Program developed for tomorrows' next generation of cockatiel aviculturists.
